Power state machine¶

Sensors and actuators can have a power state machine that allows for changing the power state of the connected sensor or actuator. Figure Power state machine shows the power state machine and table Power state machine states lists the possible states.

Power state machine states¶
State	Description
On	Component is operating in full power mode.
Standby	Component is operating in low power mode.
Down	Component is powered down. Functionality is (de)initializing and proper operation is not guaranteed.
